Inside, the Swiss-made Sellita SW200 automatic movement delivers a 38-hour power reserve and 50 m water resistance, while a sapphire crystal case back reveals the mechanism. About Baume & Mercier
Baume & Mercier's story begins in 1830, when Louis Joseph Baume opened a watchmaking counter in Les Bois, in the Swiss Jura. The Maison itself was founded in Geneva on 27 August 1920 by William Baume and Paul Mercier. In 1973 came the Riviera, designed by Jean-Claude Gueit, which went on to become the brand's flagship model.
