The Casio FB100W-1A carries the brand's classic angular digital styling into modern life, a lightweight unisex watch for anyone who likes their technology understated.
A slim black resin case surrounds a positive LCD display, and the vented bio-based resin strap keeps it comfortable through a full day. Mobile Link pairs the watch to the CASIO WATCHES app over Bluetooth so the time sets itself, while a built-in motion sensor counts steps and charts progress against a daily goal. Five alarms, a 1/100-second stopwatch, countdown timer, dual time and a full auto calendar sit behind four polished metal buttons, with an LED backlight for low light and around two years from a single battery.

Casio's story starts in April 1946, when Tadao Kashio set up Kashio Seisakujo, a small factory in Mitaka, Tokyo, making microscope parts and gears. In June 1957 it became Casio Computer Co., Ltd., built around the 14-A, the world's first compact all-electric calculator. That calculator know-how led Casio to watches: Toshio Kashio's view was that a watch simply adds up seconds.
