The round 40 mm stainless steel case (thickness 5.95 mm), polished to a quiet shine, is complemented by a polished crown and solid case back. Its silvery white opaline dial features black Roman numerals and indexes with ruthenium leaf hands, plus a date window at 3 o'clock. Powered by the ETA F06.115 quartz movement, it offers about four years of battery life and is water resistant to 50 metres. The black calfskin strap is interchangeable without tools thanks to a reliable quick-release system. About Baume & Mercier
Baume & Mercier's story begins in 1830, when Louis Joseph Baume opened a watchmaking counter in Les Bois, in the Swiss Jura. The Maison itself was founded in Geneva on 27 August 1920 by William Baume and Paul Mercier. In 1973 came the Riviera, designed by Jean-Claude Gueit, which went on to become the brand's flagship model.
