Alarms don't Work

Your customer service has been very good, thank you, but unfortunately the watch alarms aren't working. I set 2 alarms and AL1 and AL2 appear in the digital window. When the time comes there's no sound at all. To make sure I've not screwed up the AM and PM I pressed D to make the alarm sound and again it's silent. If there's some trick that isn't mentioned in the instructions please let me know.

I need 2 alarms because I have to be alerted twice each day, otherwise I probably wouldn't care.
