The Casio Vintage A1000SP-7D is a full-metal digital watch that treats a simple LCD like a dress piece.
Its 38mm stainless steel case, 7.3mm thick, holds a brass dial finished in sunray, with striped vapour deposition applied to the underside of the sapphire crystal so the face gains depth as the light moves. A quartz module drives a stopwatch, daily alarm and auto-calendar, lit by a white Super Illuminator backlight. The solid steel bracelet mixes hairline and mirror finishes and closes on a one-touch three-fold clasp. It arrives in special gift packaging.

Casio's story starts in April 1946, when Tadao Kashio set up Kashio Seisakujo, a small factory in Mitaka, Tokyo, making microscope parts and gears. In June 1957 it became Casio Computer Co., Ltd., built around the 14-A, the world's first compact all-electric calculator. That calculator know-how led Casio to watches: Toshio Kashio's view was that a watch simply adds up seconds.
