Citizen Mechanical Automatic NJ0242-50E presents warm, confident elegance in a 40 mm (4 cm) stainless steel case finished in gold-tone PVD.
The deep black dial contrasts with a gleaming gold-toned bracelet, tuned for both formal occasions and smart-casual wear. An exhibition caseback reveals the self-winding movement, a quiet nod to craftsmanship, while Hardlex glass protects the dial. About Citizen
Citizen traces its roots to the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, set up in 1918 to make Japanese timepieces. Its first pocket watch was completed in 1924 and named CITIZEN by Tokyo mayor Count Shinpei Goto, in the hope that it would be loved by the citizens for many years. Citizen Watch Co., Ltd. was established in 1930, and in 1952 it introduced the first Japanese-made watch with a calendar.
