A 40.6mm stainless steel case houses a black dial with luminous hands and hour markers, protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and framed by a unidirectional rotating elapsed-time bezel. The light-powered Eco-Drive calibre E118 needs no battery and holds roughly a year of reserve, while a screw-lock crown and date display add everyday practicality. A supple black polyurethane strap secures it comfortably, and ISO-compliant 200 metre water resistance means it is ready for the ocean. Purposeful, legible and quietly handsome.

About Citizen
Citizen traces its roots to the Shokosha Watch Research Institute, set up in 1918 to make Japanese timepieces. Its first pocket watch was completed in 1924 and named CITIZEN by Tokyo mayor Count Shinpei Goto, in the hope that it would be loved by the citizens for many years. Citizen Watch Co., Ltd. was established in 1930, and in 1952 it introduced the first Japanese-made watch with a calendar.
