A collection of full-metal descendants of the first-ever G-SHOCK — introducing the GM-B2100 with a black bezel highlighting their iconic form.
The striking two-tone black-on-silver color scheme projects G-SHOCK toughness in a model sure to suit your personal style. The top bezel of the GM-B2100BT is treated to a hairline finish, exuding the premium elegance of sophisticated metal texture. Indexes finished in silver-colored vapor deposition enhance visibility and add a beautiful contrast with the dial. Crafted from stainless steel, the bezel undergoes meticulous processes of forging, cutting, and polishing to achieve an exquisite finish of depth and dimension. To achieve the same original G-SHOCK shock-resistant structure in a full-metal timepiece, buffering components made of fine resin are inserted between the stainless-steel bezel and case. And dimpling is applied to metal band pieces to reproduce the look of the very first G-SHOCK resin band design. The stainless-steel case of the GM-B2100BT features the same screw-lock construction as the original to ensure a tight seal. And the fact that the watch is crafted at Yamagata Casio, the “mother factory” where the first ever G-SHOCK was made, brings the whole design full circle.

Built not to break
A module that floats
Inside a hollow case, the module (the heart of the watch) seems to float, so knocks from outside are softened before they reach it. The idea came from watching children play with a rubber ball.

About G-SHOCK
G-SHOCK began with a dropped watch. Casio designer Kikuo Ibe saw a watch break when it fell, and proposed “a durable watch that would not break even if dropped”. The project set itself the “Triple 10” goal: survive a 10-metre drop, resist water to 10 bar and run for 10 years on one battery. The first G-SHOCK, the DW-5000C, arrived in 1983.
